Welcome to my little part of the internet world.
I am the maker, owner, photographer, shipper, pr department and your customer service representative at Copper Baskets. My home and shop are in the Missouri Ozarks. It is a rural setting with room for gardening and enjoying nature. I landed here after time in Tennessee and North Carolina. The gentle hills and winding rivers in my current neighborhood feel like the right place to let my roots sink in to our super rocky soil.
Copper Baskets is the name of my business because that is what I mostly make! I had fancy name ideas expanding on the artistry and love for my craft but people said “oh, you make the copper baskets” so many times, the name stuck. However, I am often making flowers, jewelry, or sprouts out of metal. You may also find me dabbling in a range of fiber arts, painting, pottery, cooking, and gardening.
Aestheticly, Copper Baskets is rusticly elegant. I love the look of the physical hand in artwork. I try to not edit too much. Some of the process should to be visible in the final piece. Upcycled metals, hammer marks, firescale and rich patinas all flow together in my metal art baskets.
